please don’t tell my dad!

Written by patty on September 21st, 2008

Not only did my best friend come by to read my post about the two of us up to no good whatsoever in high school. So did her mom. Her mother, who knows my parents. Really well.

Ha, ha, Mrs L., that was just a little creative writing. We never missed a class. Not in high school!  And certainly not in college!

But in the interest of full disclosure, earlier today your daughter and I were plotting a time when we can get together, and my first suggestion was “Well why don’t we pick a Friday when I can blow off work?” Old habits die hard.

I am 42 years old. And I am so busted.

Heh…again I come here and say ‘Hilarious!’

I knew there was yet another reason why I’ve kept my blog on the downlow around people I know!

    Mr Lady

My best friend and I are really tight with each other’s families, and have been since we were 16. When I was married, I asked her to be my MOH, and then asked her to read all the filthy passages from the Song Of Solomon during my ceremony. Which she did, because she loves me.

Years later, she told me that the whole time she was reading them, all she could think was, “Oh my god, my mom is RIGHT THERE listening!”

And then I did a wedding recap on my blog a few years ago, a behind the scences thing, you know? And HER MOTHER read it. And had more than a few questions.

    I totally feel you. :)
