Written by patty on March 29th, 2011Some days, coming home to a day’s worth of renovations is a complete joy. What new treasure waits inside these doors? A newly hung light fixture. A beautiful faucet. Reflective glass tile. Newly stained floors.
Then there are days like yesterday.
This used to be our master bedroom.
Speechless.
Worse yet, no longer speaking to me. And really, really disappointed.
I lost track of how many trips I made up and down the stairs on Sunday, with these two right on my heels. We moved every stitch of clothing, every book, every doodad we keep in our bedroom to the second floor. At one point, Paul had to wait for us to get out of his way. He remarked “I forgot you are part of a train.”
We are livin’ it up in our temporary quarters upstairs.
Aside from the dogs, we brought a few other mementos of our bedroom to make it feel like home.
