half dressed

I’m off to London for a few days of fun and a few days of endless meetings. I’m hoping to come home to wallpaper and a glass shower enclosure in the new bathroom.

The paper will be Imperial Trellis in charcoal. I’ve had my eye on it for, like, ever. I’ll bet it will look better than the purple wallboard. And yes, as a matter of fact, I am keeping it real with the roll of TP and the Listerine atop the vanity. If you lived in a construction zone, you’d think this looks reasonable (just like me!).

The charcoal grout was a biiiiig bone of contention between me, my contractor and the tile guy. I’m glad I stuck to my guns. White grout doesn’t make me happy. It requires that nasty-smelling mildew killer to keep it clean. And don’t even get me started on the very long list of stinky cleaning supplies on the banned list at #49.

Paul calls this my 70s funk light. He can call it whatever he wants. It’s frickin’ beautiful, and it knows it. It tells me so in my dreams.

This bathroom is completely new; it used to be the other half of the room that’s currently my office. I think I’d be perfectly happy to convert all of the rooms in our house into bathrooms. No waiting.
